difc art nights, 2023

  This piece began as a small 5cm cutout and grew into a 100cm sculpture! I love its interactive nature, with DIFC’s night lights beautifully illuminating the clear acrylic and accentuating the colours. Fun fact: the night before the exhibition, I dropped and broke it! After a stressful, sleepless night rebuilding, it was worth every moment.

Harmony II is a rotating sculpture that reflects the balance between human development and environmental preservation. Made from two circular acrylic panels—one symbolising Earth’s forests and oceans, the other representing urban growth— it emphasises sustainable practices. Mounted on a mirrored base, it encourages viewers to contemplate their role in this delicate equilibrium, with its rotation symbolising the interconnectedness of progress and nature.
